Lots of Curve

A beautiful grained bespoke larder and curved Oak wall units are the wow factor in Ewan and Gillian Fotheringham’s home in Glamis.

Cabinetry - Warm solid oak from the Cornell range at the Perth Design Studio just oozes design flair and charm.

Worktops - Solid Noche granite from Brazil with 100mm up stands provides a fantastic combination of colour and material.

Lighting - Pure white florescent under wall unit lights coupled with low voltage down lights in the ceiling and chimney breast provide good practical lighting.

When Farmer Ewan Fotheringham and his wife Gillian set about renovating their period farm house just East of Forfar a grand functional kitchen was top of the list. Early on in the works it was decided that the existing Aga would be removed and a striking new black replacement would take centre stage on the back wall. Once the kitchen area was clear the couple visited several kitchen designer showrooms in Perth and invited them to provide draft plans before being recommended by a friend who had just had a kitchen completed by a company in Scone called the Perth design Studio to give them a visit.

Ewan and Gillian visited our showroom in Scone and over a cup of coffee discussed their project with designer Colin and made an appointment for him to carry out the onsite survey and the rest is history as they say. It was clear after our second meeting and first draught drawings that the Perth Design Studio was able to offer design solutions and detail that the couple were struggling to find elsewhere. After a few revisions and changes to materials the final design was agreed and after site measurements were checked by the fitting team production began.

We have had quite a few different tradesmen around the house during this project and the Perth Design Studios fitting team were very professional with a great attention to detail. We wanted to create our dream kitchen and with designer Colin’s help we have. It really is perfect.
